Amec Foster Wheeler is currently seeking a Survey Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing verification and construction support surveying for a large industrial complex near Corpus Christi. The candidate may also work to promote Amec Foster Wheeler’s project construction staking services and other land surveying services to other private firms and government agencies with a goal of developing and retaining clients. They will be responsible for the procurement of work for land survey services with an emphasis on industry. Responsibilities include the development of scopes of work and associated fees for contractual agreements along with the management of budgets, timelines, staff and billings for survey construction projects. The individual will perform QC and QA checks of both staking layouts and the data collected of as-staked points.
The successful candidate will also be provided Unmanned Aerial Systems pilot training to learn to safely operate both fixed-wing and multi-rotor UAS. The training will consist of Part 107 exam preparation, UAS flight training, Trimble flight training, and hands-on practical flight and equipment training, therewith obtaining a valid FAA certified Remote Pilot License.

Skills / Qualifications
It is preferred that the applicant be a Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) and have a minimum of 10 years of Land Surveying experience, three of which must have been as a Survey Project Manager or in a similar supervisory position. A degree in Land Surveying or a related field is preferred. A combination of education and experience totaling ten years may be accepted as qualifications for this position. This position will require:

Experience in developing project cost estimates, contract reviews and negotiations

A strong work ethic
Excellent organizing and time management skills
Technical skill in the use of Trimble survey equipment and processing software
An ability to create field layout plots and points for field staking using AutoCAD 3D
Thorough understanding and interpretation of construction design drawings
Excellent supervisory skills
Must pass drug test, fit-for-duty medical exam, background check, and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
