Geosphere Consulting Inc. is currently seeking to hire a Geotechnical Engineer based out of its office San Ramon, Ca office.
A successful candidate will be responsible for preparing geotechnical proposals, writing reports and letters, performing engineering analyses, field logging and testing, and project management. This candidate will have a broad knowledge of construction materials and be technically skilled to review test and inspection information supplied by others.
Required technical abilities:
Slope stability analyses; Deep foundation analyses; Liquefaction analyses; Shallow foundations; Soil improvement; Settlement analyses; Ability to review test reports and make comments; Familiar with AJTM test protocol; Understanding of the project management. Other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary.
Education and/or experience:
BS in Engineering from an accredited university is required. Registered CA Civil and/or Geotechnical Engineer. Technical and professional experience in testing and inspection of construction materials and/or geotechnical engineering is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, ability to write geotechnical proposals, ability to speak at meetings to other construction professionals.
Customer service skills:
Excellent customer relation skills are required.
Ability and willingness to travel locally.
