Our North America Ports and Maritime practice and the New York City office are growing. We are seeking enthusiastic and dynamic individuals who want to deliver and seek out challenging projects that really make a difference to our communities. You will join an established and thriving Ports and Maritime practice based in New York City and work on maritime projects ranging from new port developments, container terminals, marine oil and LNG terminals, protection schemes for our coastal communities, regional resiliency projects, and waterfront developments for a range of public and private sector clients across the globe. You will have the chance to lead in the delivery of our wide-ranging portfolio of maritime projects and work as part of an integrated and forward thinking team. As a key member of our growing Ports and Maritime practice you will be an integral part of our plan to continue expanding our business and help make CH2M the industry-leader in the Ports and Maritime sector.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
Managing teams of coastal, geotechnical, mechanical/electrical, and marine structural engineers and other technologists to successfully deliver our Ports and Maritime projects, while helping to grow our portfolio of maritime projects around the globe. Working collaboratively across our client sectors, practices, and offices. Use excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate confidently and effectively with colleagues and clients to successful complete assigned projects. Serve as project or design manager on large-scale maritime projects. Promote technical excellence and quality on projects. Lead and/or assist in the development of proposals. Mentor younger engineers and managers.

· Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or coastal engineering required · Professional engineering license · Minimum 18 years of experience in the design, delivery, and management of maritime projects
· Master’s degree preferred. · Strong technical background in the analysis and design of various types of marine structures and be able to serve as project and/or design manager on large-scale projects. · Knowledge of the local NY and NJ-based clients, such as the New York City Economic Development Corporation, Port Authority of NY & NJ, Hudson River Park Trust, DEP, Department of Design and Construction, and/or other private and public clients involved with the waterfront are preferred but not required. · Preferred candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively on multi-disciplinary teams, both domestically and internationally.
