This key position within the Air Liquide Electronics business line is responsible for Quality Assurance within the ESG (Electronic Specialty Gas) operations, located at our Morrisville, PA manufacturing plant. The primary responsibilities for this role are to maintain and update the plant Quality System, to be compliant with company requirements, to maintain ISO9001 certification, and to ensure a high levels of customer satisfaction. This is partially achieved through establishing clear, closed-loop quality objectives which support the operations team and continual improvement. A successful candidate must be highly organized, able to manage multiple projects or tasks, and will be an excellent communicator at all levels of the organization, including direct interaction with customers. Pre-existing knowledge of SPC/SQC data analysis, as well as a clear understanding of specialty and/or cylinder gas manufacturing processes, are highly desirable.
Perform the role as Quality System Representative which is to maintain the certification of the plant to the ISO 9001 Standard
Periodically review the core Quality Objectives with management to ensure they are in harmony with the Quality Policy
Develop a Quality Plan and annual Quality program that will carry out the established Quality Objectives.
Conduct management assessment audits against the ALEUS standards.
Conduct periodic Plant Quality Management Team Meetings that provide the input and output information necessary to maintain and improve the Quality Management System
Maintain and update the Plant Quality System to be compliant with ALEUS requirements and to reflect current operations.
Track and analyze internal and external quality failures that occur at the plant and ensure that all corrective and preventative have been carried out and measured for effectiveness
Issue formal investigation responses to customers on quality related incidents and issues
Coordinate and participate in customer quality audits at the Morrisville plant. Analyze the reports and lead corrective/preventive action identification and implementation
Participate in the ALEUS Supplier evaluation and audits program by tracking supplier performance and attending or leading audits.
Be the liaison for the Morrisville Plant to ALEUS Corporate Quality organization to schedule audits, communicate questions and issues, and provide updates on plant quality system
Recognize and communicate continuous improvement actions, projects, and plans to the Morrisville plant personnel.
Conduct training sessions on quality subjects for all plant personnel.
Make all personnel aware, through training and presentations, that the primary focus of the Quality Management System is the customer.
Support the ESG SPC/SQC program
Bachelor’s degree in engineering/chemistry or other technical related field
5+ years of Quality Assurance experience
Ability to travel ~10% domestically and abroad in order to coordinate global efforts and operations.
Problem solving skills including ability to perform root cause investigations, “What if” studies, audits, and failure analysis
Strong interpersonal skills to direct and effectively train and lead others
Proficiency in English language
Ability to accurately perform arithmetic and statistical calculations
