Assist customers in applying Pointwise to their needs using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge, resulting in revenue generation. Occasionally represent Pointwise at conferences. Provide input into the marketing and technical development of Pointwise.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Generate structured, unstructured and hybrid meshes on complex 3-D configurations across multiple industries such as aerospace, automotive, wind energy, biomedical, and marine.
Write scripts to automate the construction of meshes using the Tcl-based scripting language, Glyph.
Communicate with customers and prospects through Salesforce, HubSpot, email, and phone.
Research customer needs and develop applications of Pointwise.
Develop and maintain customer relationships.
Provide technical support to the Sales & Marketing team.
Write technical articles and produce videos to be used for sales and marketing.
Participate in the planning of new features for the Pointwise software.
Develop and maintain communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all staff and customers.
Work 40 hours per week.
QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master's degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited university
Customer service oriented
Previous experience with Pointwise software
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Use of Windows, Linux, and Mac computers
Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, delivering clear and concise messaging
Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize
Positive attitude, willingness to offer and execute ideas and solutions to enhance processes within a changing environment
Work Authorization You must be a U.S. Person due to the requirement to work with ITAR-controlled articles.
Travel Some travel may be required to conferences, customer sites, etc.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT General office environment. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand, walk, talk, lift, carry or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Involves communication skills and physical mobility to interact with various departments as required in a multi-floor office environment. Vision requirements include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to read fine print and look at computer monitor. Ability to communicate by phone. Noise level is moderate. Minimal risk of radiation from exposure to computers.
