Duties and Skills: Coordinate geospatial data streams to assess sub-field cropland productivity, economics, sustainability and environmental impact. Using precision agriculture, develop tools and guidelines to promote the adoption of precision conservation for croplands. The incumbent in this position is expected to write manuscripts and research reports and present findings at scientific meetings as well as to the general public.
A Ph.D. in agronomy, soil science, agricultural engineering, natural resource management or closely related field is required. Knowledge of agricultural systems is required. Skill with geospatial datasets is required. Prefer experience with geospatial statistics, fertility, and/or integrated pest management.
U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National status is required for this position.
