As the Safety & Quality Manager, our client will rely on you to plan, direct, and implement their Safety program to ensure they support a safe, healthy and accident-free work environment. In addition, you will plan, coordinate, and direct their QMS (Quality Management System) designed to ensure quality service levels consistent with established ISO9001 Quality standards. You will work with all of their shop locations to facilitate and encourage engagement in changing their company Safety culture to eliminate accidents.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
Plan and implement safety program policies and procedures for safe work practices, fire prevention and correct handling techniques for chemicals, toxins, equipment and other materials in compliance with local, state and federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
Chair the Employee Safety Steering Committee in Camp Hill and fosters Safety Committees in the balance of our shop locations.
Inspect organization facilities to detect existing or potential accident and health hazards, determine corrective or preventative measures where indicated, and follow up to ensure measures have been implemented.
Design and implement quality assurance training programs to key personnel in conjunction with managers and maintains excellent quality records in compliance with QMS.
Facilitate the customer complaint process to ensure quick root cause, corrective and preventative actions are reliable and timely to prevent the concern in the future.
Interface with customers’ auditors and ensure the execution of corrective and preventative actions and compliance with customers’ specifications.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a College or technical school; or 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of hands-on Quality Management System in an ISO certified environment in manufacturing, repair or field service sectors.
Active Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and/or OSHA certified training.
ASQ certification or equivalent.
Knowledge of work with an ERP system Database software; Internet software; Visual Order processing systems; Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
