Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized, award-winning professional services consulting firm, is experiencing unprecedented growth, and we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time mechanical project engineer. Responsibilities include providing technical expertise, management, and leadership to the mechanical project team; attending client meetings; performing construction phase services; mentoring less experienced staff; and assisting with the development of engineering agreements and business development. Entrance onto military bases is an essential function of this position; candidates must be able to pass federal, state, and/or local agency background checks. Travel will be required.
The successful candidate must have all of the following:
a bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering (with a mechanical emphasis)
at least four years of relevant mechanical engineering experience
a PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in other states
The ideal candidate will have experience in any/all of the following: designing chilled water, hot water, and condenser water systems; designing air handling systems such as VAV, geothermal and/or VRF; designing and specifying of DDC or PLC control systems; providing of commissioning services; working on LEED projects; designing steam systems; developing energy models; working knowledge of REVIT; designing mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, military, aviation and/or industrial facilities.
