Morrison-Maierle is looking for an entry to mid-level level Water Resources Engineer to join our Missoula and Kalispell, Montana offices.

This position will work under the direction of project managers and phase managers to provide design support on a variety of water engineering projects. Significant engineering support will be focused on water resource projects.
The variety of projects you may expect to work on include:
Storm water: conveyance design, storage retention and detention facilities, water quality, discharge regulations, hydraulic modeling, low impact design, storm water best management practices;
Irrigation design: diversions, siphons, canals, flumes, intakes and dams;
Floodplain analysis and mapping: 1D and 2D hydraulic modeling in HEC-RAS and floodplain mapping development in ESRI ArcMap;
Hydraulic design for transportation projects: bridge opening design, highway drainage design, urban storm system design, bridge scour analysis and mitigation design, and bank stability design;
Water resource planning;
Grant writing and administration;
Professional/technical report writing; and
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
Entry Level: 0 to 3 years’ experience in the Water Resources or Civil Engineering industry. Engineer Intern certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
Mid-Level: Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Water Resources Engineering Consulting industry with focus on industrial and municipal facility design. A professional engineering (PE) license is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Bio Resources Engineering, Civil Engineering or equivalent. 0 to 3 years of experience.
Engineer Intern certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Experience with Microstation.

Storm water and irrigation design experience.

Must have a valid driver license and insurable driving record.
