We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical BIM Modeler for an exciting opportunity within our Construction Services group. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical system design, install and layout utilizing various BIM related technologies such as Autodesk REVIT® and Fabrication CADmep™. You will be responsible for leading BIM based production efforts on projects, leveraging models for fabrication, participate in coordination reviews and generate intelligent BIM content. The Mechanical BIM Modeler will work closely with internal and external customers to provide excellent support by providing and supporting BIM deliverables containing a mechanical model adhering to the BIM execution plan and BIM project workflow criteria. A successful candidate should possess strong problem-solving skills and demonstrate a passion to learn and grow their technical skills while working with a variety of Upnonor staff and unique project teams.

Prepares mechanical BIM models and sets of construction drawings, which may include multiple views, detail drawings, and assembly drawings indicating components of equipment, facilities, or systems. Reviews manufacturers or fabricators prints to aid in the development of BIM models and design documents.

Generate intelligent BIM content (.rfa/.itm) for downstream use including flow calculation, fabrication and estimation.

Performs tasks such as verification of BIM model integrity, clash detection coordination meetings, coordinates collaboration with other disciplines.

Performs walkthroughs of models using Revit for project stakeholders and provides general conceptual input to projects during the planning stages.

Communicates regularly with other disciplines, trade partners, clients and project engineers to support project production.
