Research Molecular Biologist (Plants)
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Forage Seed and Cereal Research Unit seeks a Research Molecular Biologist, GS-0440-12/13 ($79,363 to $122,683 per annum, plus benefits). The position is located in Corvallis, OR. The research priorities for this position include: i) conducting research in tall fescue and perennial ryegrass to determine how plants respond to and tolerate commonly occurring production problems and stresses. Initial priorities include investigating drought, salinity, or heat stress, ii) developing improved genomic and molecular resources that can advance genetics, breeding, and stress tolerance research in grasses, and iii) using molecular, genomic, gene expression and bioinformatics approaches to identify genes, gene families, and genetic
