DESCRIPTION OF WORK Provide leadership and guidance for all aspects of the Utilities Department operations, including hiring staff, planning and directing the activities and operations of the electric, gas, sewer and water utilities; provide direct supervision to the Utility Departments – Administration, Electric Production, Operations, Capital Management and Safety. Provide indirect supervision to support staffs including Engineering, Environmental, Purchasing and Public Information; coordinate and collaborate activities with other City departments and outside agencies; and provide policy, technical and administrative support to the Mayor, City Council, through the City Administrator.
