Richmond District Traffic Operations Division (located in South Chesterfield, VA) is seeking a dynamic leader to assist in the program delivery of VDOT’s traffic signal control systems/service as responsible charge engineer over signal phasing and timing plans. You will provide decision support and analysis of freeway operations to include impacts of lane closures required to accommodate maintenance and construction activities. Assist with analysis of traffic engineering studies and prepare the signal timing and coordination at new/existing signal locations, improve operations, decrease turnaround time, and streamline work processes; and strategically develop and implement the traffic signal systems program. Lead a team in the development of policies, procedures and practices reflecting
