ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND CORE COMPETENCIES  Responsible for the oversight of all engineering design and technical activities concerning overhead and underground distribution system and streetlight facilities. Specific responsibilities include supervising engineering and design staff and the development of budgets, goals, and initiatives. Assists with tactical decision making and strategic planning for the department. Consistent and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position. Supervises staff to include prioritizing and assigning work, conducting performance evaluations, monitoring employee performance, ensuring staff members are trained and cross trained, resolving conflicts, and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendat
